Alignment & Distribution
Align and distribute items precisely to create organized, professional diagrams.
Aligning Items
- Select two or more items
- Open the Align menu in the toolbar
- Choose an option:
| Option | Result |
|---|---|
| Align Left | Moves every item to the leftmost left edge in the selection |
| Align Center Horizontally | Lines up the horizontal centres (at the average centre of the selection) |
| Align Right | Moves every item to the rightmost right edge |
| Align Top | Moves every item to the topmost top edge |
| Align Center Vertically | Lines up the vertical centres (at the average centre) |
| Align Bottom | Moves every item to the bottommost bottom edge |
Alignment uses the outermost edge of the whole selection, so no single item has to be picked as a reference.
Distributing Items
- Select three or more items
- Open the Distribute menu in the toolbar
- Choose Distribute Horizontally or Distribute Vertically
The two outermost items stay in place, and the items in between are moved so their centres are evenly spaced.
Notes
- Connectors are not moved by Align or Distribute — they follow the shapes they're attached to
- Each alignment or distribution is a single undo step
