Clipart Library

The Clipart Library lets you save and reuse your own symbols across all your diagrams. It also includes built-in stencils and a browser of icon sets you can drag straight onto the canvas.

Opening the Clipart Library

Choose View → Manage Clipart…

The manager has a sidebar with two areas:

  • My Clipart — the symbols you've saved (All Clipart plus your categories)
  • Stencils — built-in content: Favorites, Recent, Office, Network, People, Misc, and the Icons sets

Use the Search clipart... field to filter by name.

Stencils and Icon Sets

Expand Icons in the sidebar to drill into an icon set and browse its symbols. To use a stencil or icon, drag it onto the canvas.

  • Favorites — right-click a stencil to add it to your favorites
  • Recent — stencils you've used lately

For quick access without opening the manager, use the Icons panel in the toolbar (Option+Cmd+I).

Note: Some stencils and icons require PRO.

Adding Clipart

From the Canvas

  1. Select the shape(s) on your canvas
  2. Right-click the selection and choose Add to Clipart Repository...
  3. Enter a name and click Add

The clipart appears under My Clipart.

To save a design with fill-in text instead, use Save as Reusable Element... — see Reusable Elements.

Importing SVG Files

  1. Open View → Manage Clipart…
  2. Click Import SVG...
  3. Select one or more SVG files

SVG import is a PRO feature.

Using Clipart

Find the clipart you want in the manager and drag it onto your canvas.

Editing and Organizing

Right-click a clipart item for:

  • Edit... — change its Name and Categories (separate multiple categories with commas)
  • Remove — delete it from the library (with several items selected, Remove deletes them all)

Categories you assign appear in the My Clipart sidebar, so you can group items by project or topic.

Tips

  • Build templates: save common diagram components as clipart
  • Use descriptive names: makes searching easier later
  • Organize early: set up categories before your library grows large
  • SVG quality: use clean SVG files for best results when importing
