Settings

Diagrammix keeps its app-wide options in the Settings window. Canvas options such as the grid, snapping, rulers, and smart guides are toggled directly from the toolbar instead.

Opening Settings

Choose Diagrammix → Settings… or press Cmd+,.

The window has three tabs: General, PRO, and AI Integration.

General

Default Text FormatRich Text or Markdown — the input format for new shape and connector text

PRO

Shows whether you're using the Free Version or the PRO Version.

  • Unlock PRO — open the purchase options
  • Restore Purchases — restore a PRO purchase made on another Mac or before reinstalling

AI Integration

Settings for the built-in MCP server that lets AI assistants read and build your diagrams (a PRO feature).

  • Enable MCP Server — turn the server on or off. Status shows Running or Stopped
  • Claude Desktop Configuration — Copy Config copies the complete Claude Desktop configuration, which uses the helper bundled with Diagrammix (Node, npx, and mcp-remote are not required)
  • Codex Configuration — Copy Config copies the TOML for ~/.codex/config.toml; Copy Command copies the equivalent codex mcp add command

Canvas Options in the Toolbar

These options are toggled with buttons in the window toolbar rather than in Settings:

Saving

Documents save automatically in place, and macOS keeps previous versions. Use File → Revert to Saved to go back to an earlier version.
